Get Plugged In

Get plugged into the life and ministry of First Presbyterian Church. Here you can find Adult Discipleship Opportunities as well as fellowship and other ministry related information.

Adult Discipleship

Adult Discipleship offers one or more classes for faith formation on Sunday mornings, 9:45-10:45am, September-May; in June, we meet from 8:45am-9:45am. We typically do not hold regular classes July-August. We strive to cover a variety of topics in the areas of Bible studies, Christian living, justice/current events, theology, and family/marriage. Additional programs, such as weeknight presentations and summer studies, are occasionally arranged as well. Check the latest bulletin or newsletter for current information. All are welcome.

Blessing Women's Ministry

We plan short-term studies (3-6 weeks) a few times a year, which offer a time for spiritual development and fellowship. We organize annual Christmas and Spring Saturday morning gatherings featuring an inspirational program, continental breakfast, and mission opportunity. These programs are usually led by members of the group. Another annual event is a short day or overnight retreat, often with a guest leader. We also host social events around meals or games. We are a welcoming group of women who support each other as we grow our relationship with God and each other. We are open to all women.

Just Older Youth

The JOY group is an informal monthly lunch gathering of adults (age 60 and older) who enjoy fellowship with one another. Over lunch, we listen to speakers from the community, reflect on our life's journeys, and embrace life-changing transitions to find JOY where we are. We meet on the last Tuesday of the month at noon, at the church or at a restaurant.

Something Supper Club

The focus of this group is friendship and fellowship, conversation and connection. This is a gathering for those in a certain stage of life, not necessarily a certain age range. That stage of life where you still think you’re young, but you also secretly know you’re not as young as you used to be. That stage of life when your time is given away in big measures – maybe to kids, career, or something else. That stage of life when, if you’re a parent, you’re still figuring it out. We gather monthly for dinner on a weekend evening at various locations.
